What Coho is
Coho is managed content infrastructure for businesses: a hosted content platform where content and its schema are versioned together. Teams branch, review, merge and release content, promote releases through their environments, and deliver them to websites and apps through a fast read API. You work with Coho through its Authoring and Runtime APIs, the coho command-line tool and the Python management SDK.
Coho is delivered online. Your account is ready as soon as you confirm your email address, and a paid plan starts as soon as you subscribe.
What would this cost?
Describe a site and this prices it on every plan. The rates are exact — it asks the same price function your invoice would be worked out by — so what you are really choosing below is how big you think your site is. It is an estimate, not a quote, and it shows every assumption it used.
Start on Free, with no card needed. Move to Site or Enterprise when your site outgrows it.
Sign Up NowHow usage is measured
- Delivery is counted per response from the Runtime API, at the response's size or 16 KB, whichever is larger.
- Content is the size of your published content as JSON, measured every day. Each day over the allowance is billed at a day's share of the monthly price (12 / 365 of it), so a one-off import costs only the days it stays over.
- History. Every version of your content is kept. Up to five times your content's size is included, and beyond that each day is billed at a day's share of the monthly price per GB.
- Live reads are reads of content that is not yet released: live previews, and project tokens reading branches through the Authoring API. They are counted against the daily allowance across the whole billing period.
- Allowances on Site are for each project, added together and shared; on Enterprise there is one allowance for the account, which does not grow with the number of projects.
- Editors are the members of your account, counted at the most it had on any day of the billing period.
- Limits and alerts. Free limits are fixed: when an account reaches one, the action that would exceed it stops until the limit resets (delivery at the start of the next month, live reads at midnight UTC, releases when content is back under), and you're never charged. On paid plans, we email your admins at 80% and 100% of every allowance. A paying site is never taken down for going over an allowance.
